Downtown Parking Guide

There are a number of parking options available for shopping, dining, and playing in downtown Dahlonega. Visit the Dahlonega DDA's website for a complete parking map!

Evening & Weekend Unlimited Parking: The first parking area that evening and weekend guests should consider when coming to downtown Dahlonega is the convenient and shady UNG parking deck easily accessible from the intersection of South Chestatee St & Choice Ave. The deck is available after 5:30 PM M-F, and all day Saturdays and Sundays.

Park & Stay: In close proximity to shops, restaurants, boutique hotels, and the Dahlonega- Lumpkin County Welcome Center are the Park & Stay spaces in the North Park Street Parking Lot or the Warwick Street Parking Lot. Patrons wanting to enjoy the charming atmosphere of Historic Downtown Dahlonega all day or multiple days, are encouraged to use these spaces.

Shop & Dine 3 - Hour Parking: Use the 3-hour "Shop & Dine" spaces during your lunch break, running an errand or popping in a store for a quick purchase. Be mindful they are the prime spaces around the Public Square and the Choice Street Parking Lot. To encourage turnover in these spaces, the City enforces 3-hour parking areas 8 AM – 5 PM, Monday through Friday.

Electric Vehicles: The City of Dahlonega is committed to promoting electric vehicle usage and charging stations. This project is a step forward in supporting sustainability, reducing CO2 emissions, and demonstrating to electric vehicle owners that they can visit, commute, or run errands around Dahlonega without worrying about running out of power away from home.
