Art Galleries

Most folks know Dahlonega’s gold rush story, but there is also unique Art in the Heart of the North Georgia Mountains. Art galleries in downtown Dahlonega are bursting with creative pieces of fine arts and crafts. Bleu Gallery on the square hosts exciting arts from remarkable paintings and drawings to finely crafted jewelry and pottery. A few doors down is Brad Walker’s well-known pottery shop where Brad expertly produces amazing pottery.

A stroll across Hancock Park finds Canvas and Cork where art abounds with marvelous paintings, unique photography, creative jewelry and pottery, as well as colorful folk art by The Pig and the Poppy. Art by Rayneri, located within Barn & Beach Designs on Grove St, showcases incredible watercolors of historic Dahlonega scenes, as well as marvelous stained glass and wine bottle art.

Chestatee Artists, a non-profit organization, brings together artists and art lovers to encourage and support artistic talents in the community. The third weekend in May, Chestatee Artists presents their annual fundraiser, the Dahlonega Arts & Wine Festival, for the benefit of local school art programs. More information is available at chestateeartists.org and on Facebook.
