There’s a long history of gold in Dahlonega. Twenty years before gold was discovered in California, Dahlonega had its own first Gold Rush and mining in the area continued on up until WWII! Experience an underground Gold Mine Tour at Consolidated Gold Mines, or choose to experience Crisson Gold Mine’s working century-old stamp mill and open pit mine!
