Hancock Park

Hancock Park, located in Historic Downtown Dahlonega at North Meaders Street and Warwick Street, features a wood and timber pavilion perfect for concerts and special events. Hancock Park holds concerts, outdoor movies, the farmers market, activities during Dahlonega’s many festivals, and the 1875 Chestatee River Diving Bell Exhibit Plaza gold mining attraction. Hancock Park is located just of the square at the corner of North Park Street and Warwick Street. Hancock Park offers a place for residents and visitors to gather. It is used not only as a relaxing green space but also has a newly built pavilion that is used for downtown events and festivals. The park has large pecan trees, adult swings, and is home to the City of Dahlonega's Maibaum Tree, a visual depiction of the city's history. 

Conner Park

Conner Park is a beautiful peaceful green space northwest of the downtown Dahlonega public square, at the corner of Warwick Street and North Chestatee Street. The small passive park includes gardens, benches, a central fountain, and the town's little free library!

Madeleine K. Anthony Park

Madeleine Anthony Park is located at the corner of South Chestatee Street and Morrison Moore Parkway (Parking on Park Street). This park was named for Madeleine K. Anthony for her historic preservation and tourism development efforts along with her dedicated public service to the City of Dahlonega, Georgia. The park includes a public picnic pavilion, beautiful trees, and flowering bushes all next the city's entranceway replica Gold Stamp Mill with an interpretive sign.

City of Dahlonega Park

The City of Dahlonega has delightful public parks. City of Dahlonega Park, adjoining City Hall at 427 Riley Road, provides a walking trail, two covered picnic areas, and children's playground equipment.

Lumpkin County Park

Adjacent to the City Park on Riley Road is the 26-acre Lumpkin County Park, at 1325 Mechanicsville Road, that includes athletic fields and picnic pavilions as well as a 24,000 square-foot community center. The 60-acre sports complex includes basbell fields, softball fields, batting cage, and a recreation center with basketball court and several multi-purpose/banquet rooms available for rental.

Yahoola Creek Park

Yahoola Creek Park, at 1166 Captain McDonald Road, features a 1.5-mile walking trail with two outdoor pavilions as well as tennis courts, baseball fields, softball fields, soccer fields, an outdoor classroom, and concessions and restroom facilities. There are two areas of playgrounds, and a popular 18-whole Disc Golf Course. Picnic areas with picnic tables are located along beautiful Yahoola Creek.

Lumpkin County Parks & Recreation

Lumpkin County Parks & Recreation also maintains a public swimming pool at 56 Mechanicsville Road. A 2.8-mile walking trail around Lake Zwerner begins at 1680 Morrison Moore Parkway.
