Held annually on the third weekend in May, the Dahlonega Arts & Wine Festival is a much-anticipated celebration that marks the official start of summer in the North Georgia mountains.
Voted Best of Georgia 2024, this award-winning festival draws art lovers, wine enthusiasts, and weekend explorers alike for a vibrant and relaxing weekend in historic downtown Dahlonega.
Festival-goers can stroll the charming, walkable streets lined with white tents showcasing handmade arts and crafts from talented regional artisans—everything from pottery and jewelry to paintings, woodworking, textiles, and more. The festival is a feast for the senses, offering not only visual art but also live jazz performances in Hancock Park, creating a sophisticated, cultural atmosphere right in the heart of the square.
Wine lovers can sip and savor in the popular Wine & Beer Garden, featuring select pours from wineries in the Dahlonega Plateau American Viticultural Area (AVA) and other notable North Georgia vineyards. A selection of craft beers is also available for those looking to explore additional local flavors.
With free parking available downtown and at the nearby University of North Georgia (UNG) parking deck, access is easy for visitors.
