An immersive, hands-on journey into North Georgia’s gold-mining past.
Enjoy a 40-minute Underground Adventure through a REAL gold mine, guided by friendly and knowledgeable staff. As you descend deep underground, you’ll hear the stories of the miners who worked massive quartz veins in search of gold and experience what life was like at the turn of the century. This is the only underground mine tour in Dahlonega.
After the tour, receive gold panning instructions and try your luck for yourself. All paid admissions include a FREE gold panning sample.
Visitors can also enjoy Gemstone Mining, with shareable buckets available for all budgets and group sizes. Find ruby, sapphire, emerald, topaz, amethyst, pyrite, calcite, jasper, geodes, garnet, and more. An on-site lapidary can turn your discoveries into custom rings, earrings, necklaces, and other keepsakes.
