Guest Artist - Judy Bynum George - Radical Impressionist

Art History Classroom (Room 209), Hansford Hall 239 West Main Street Dahlonega, 30533

Let us welcome Judy Bynum George, a Radical Impressionist artist. Bynum George will be discussing her work and she will demonstrate some of her painting techniques during the talk. She will be accompanied by her husband, David George, who will play the keyboard while she paints in response to sound and rhythm.

Georgia-based landscape painter Judy Bynum George crafts texture-filled oil and acrylic paintings that beautifully exemplify modern American Impressionism. Drawing early stylistic inspiration from historical Impressionists, George captures the natural beauty of the Southeast. In addition to teaching art at Truett McConnell University, her multi-decade career features representation in prominent regional venues like Atlanta’s Abstein Gallery and Birmingham's Monty Stabler Galleries. Today, her vibrant regional vistas reside in numerous fine art galleries, corporate collections, and private collections across the United States.
