Photographer Bryan Garris will give a presentation featuring images captured during political protests. He will also demonstrate the use of large format cameras and historic cameras. Check his work.
Bryan Garris is a traditional analog filmmaker and darkroom printer based in Dahlonega, Georgia. Raised exploring North Georgia's natural beauty, he initially pursued degrees in Music Education and Performance before returning to his early passion for film photography. Mostly self-taught through studying Ansel Adams, Garris specializes in capturing landscapes, swamps, and deserts across the American South and West using heavy, large-format cameras. His notable work includes a 40-image documentary on the demolition of the Strickland Mill in Remerton, Georgia, alongside political protest photography. Garris also runs Garris Audio/Visual, bridging his passions for sound and imagery.
