UNG proudly houses the only full-size, hand-painted replica of the Bayeux Tapestry in the United States. Measuring 224 feet, this remarkable artwork was completed by artist Margaret ReVille in 1987 and donated to UNG in 2014 by Judge Edd Wheeler. The replica vividly depicts the 1066 Battle of Hastings, a pivotal event in English history. UNG students serve as docents, offering visitors a unique opportunity to explore this medieval masterpiece.
