A Polar Bear Splash and Dash Fundraiser has been planned for Saturday, February 13 at Yahoola Creek Park in Lumpkin County to help generate funds to purchase the devices. A 5K run (the Dash) will start at 9 am and the wade, or jump into the creek (the Splash) will take place at 10:30 am. The Leadership Class is coordinating the event, selling sponsorships and individual or team opportunities to participate in any or all of the activities.

A LUCAS Device is a portable, re-chargable piece of equipment that performs steady chest compressions during the process of CPR. The device frees paramedics to perform other life-saving interventions until assistance arrives on the scene

Cost to participate is the following

5K Fun Run Begins at 9am – $25 Registration Fee

“Splash” Begins at 10:30am - $100 Minimum Gathered Donations

Can't make the event? You can still be a part of the cause – click https://fundly.com/jump-start-your-heart-polar-bear-splash-and-dash to donate.

All proceeds will help purchase a LUCAS chest compression device for Lumpkin County EMS.
