Assistant Principal
Lumpkin County High School
I was born June 4, 1971 in Marietta, GA.
I am married to Joy and together we have two children, Kate, 6 and Luke, 5. Joy
is a teacher at Long Branch Elementary where both kids attend.
In the fall of 2007, I accepted an administrative position
at Lumpkin County High School.
I soon fell in love with Dahlonega and its surrounding area.
On December 28,
2007,
The Tinney family moved to Lumpkin
County and have enjoyed
it ever since.
Professionally, I am in my 12th year of education. Eleven of
which have been at the high school level, the other at an elementary
school.
My educational background includes: Bachelor of Science from
Kennesaw State
University, Masters of Education from Clemson University,
Educational Specialist from Lincoln Memorial University,
and a Doctorate of Philosophy from Capella
University.
My hobbies include hunting and fishing, running, and since
moving to Dahlonega, mountain biking.
