My husband and I moved from Montana in September, 2006. Prior to
returning to my native southern heritage, I spent 14 years in Montana hunting,
fishing, camping, hiking Glacier National Park, cross country skiing, organic
gardening, and spent 5 glorious years with my parents before they passed on. My
parents taught me the necessity for hard work and to do my best in anything I
do.
I was raised in Franklin, North Carolina, along
with five sisters,
and moved
to Atlanta in
1964. I graduated in 1985 from Georgia
State University
with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree, majoring in Interior Design. Prior to
getting into Real Estate I was self-employed a major portion of my career, and
my company providing computer aided design services (CAD) to architects,
interior designers, civil engineers, developers, and to government agencies
such as municipalities, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and to the U.S.
Forest Service. My expertise was marketing and making presentations to obtain
the contracts for my employees.
I have two children and three beautiful grand children, who
were the drawing factors to move back to the South. We brought back 3 horses
and 3 dogs on our last trip across the U.S. to move to Dahlonega. Dividing
my time with my real estate business, my husband, the grand children, the
animals, reading and organic gardening, I stay pretty busy.
“My goals in the community are to achieve a position of
respect and knowledge, to utilize the Lumpkin Leadership Program to help
others, and to play an active role in public service.”
