Associate Vice President - Facilities
NGCSU
I’m a Lumpkin County native and a 1983 graduate from Lumpkin County High School.
I then attended The University of Tennessee, in Knoxville, TN,
earning a BS in Industrial Engineering. After college, I worked with Yamaha Motor Manufacturing
Corp. until 1993, when I took a several month hiatus to “thru-hike” the
Appalachian Trail, from Maine back to Georgia.
Following the long walk, I joined SOMAX, Inc., a small
technology company. I later attended graduate school at Georgia Tech,
receiving a MS in Management in 1997.
Since graduate school, I worked for a number of years in
administration and consulting, and in May, 2007, I joined the staff of NGCSU as
Associate Vice President for Facilities and Director of Auxiliary
Services.
I live with my wife Stephanie and son Aidan, age 7 in Lumpkin County. We are active in the Dahlonega United Methodist
Church, where I currently
serve as church treasurer.
