My husband and I moved from Montana in September, 2006. Prior to
returning to my native southern heritage, I spent 14 years in Montana hunting,
fishing, camping, hiking Glacier National Park, cross country skiing, organic
gardening, and spent 5 glorious years with my parents before they passed on. My
parents taught me the necessity for hard work and to do my best in anything I
do.
I was raised in Franklin, North Carolina, along
with five sisters,

I have worn many hats: factory worker, soldier, social
worker, admissions officer, several others, and now elections supervisor. I
enjoyed and loathed them all. I am told that is life.
I graduated high school with honors, however, college was
unaffordable. So, I joined the military because physical labor was no stranger,
no drill sergeant could compare to my father and I would learn skills while
earning a way to college – plus I could leave Lumpkin County
– perfect.
